Exploring New Mexico

Wednesday, April 22, we were in Alamogordo, NM. We went to the National Space History Center where all its Astronauts that took America and the world to space where honored. On Thursday, April 23, we were at White Sands National Monument where sand is formed from gypsum to make the whitest sand I ever saw. Then we went to White Sands Missile Range where Iraq soldiers learn how to send missiles for the war. On Friday we where at Carlsbad Caverns. We took an elevator DOWN, DOWN, DOWN to 750 feet. It was like seeing the Statue of Liberty stand end to end 4 times. Once in the Chambers you see Stalagmites and Stalactites in their best beauty God could ever make. From there we visited Roswell, where 2 new aliens landed Sam and Karen. April 27 drove to Santa FE, the capital. We saw the oldest church in the U.S. Then on to Taos and walked out on the longest Suspension Bridge in the U.S. When a big truck goes across it, the bridge swings oh so slightly. WOW ! You panic knowing that the Rio Grande River is 800 feet below!!!!!
