"Sled Dogs,Ice Breakers,and Santa"

We went to Denial Park and its always so beautiful. This time we had so much time we got to see a demonstration team of sled dogs pulling a wheeled sled. It was great fun to see them run. The place where we stayed had beautiful fire-weed plants all over. Fireweed are plants that are pink-purple in color that start blooming from the bottom of the plant and as the summer progresses the flowers loose the lower blooms and get new blooms closer to the top. Local people say that when the flowers are at the top of the plant winter is here. As we where leaving Alaska the flowers were at the top and boy was it was getting cold. We stopped on our way to Fairbanks in a town called Nenana. This is where anyone can buy a ticket for an opportunity to win $250,000 by guessing when the ice will break on the river. A cable is run from an "A" frame structure secured on the ice to a clock located on a tower on shore. When the ice starts to break the "A" frame moves and pulls the cable which pulls a pin out of the clock and stops the clock telling the exact time of the ice break up. Pioneer Village is in Fairbanks. This is where we found our new home (Ha, Ha!). We went looking for "Cheap Gas" put could not get it out of the pipe line. From there we went to see my favorite guy "Santa Clause". He seemed to know everything about us. His house is so beautiful and his reindeer are so neat.
